How much higher does the bar have to be?
Background: The Free Press thinks a higher bar should be set for recalling elected officials. They oppose any recall efforts against the representatives who voted for increasing Michigan’s taxes.
The Free Press believes a higher bar should be set for recalling elected officials and identifies a list of recallable offenses including “obvious incompetence”. Michigan has the nation’s highest unemployment rate, stagnant incomes, and falling home values. In spite of this, our representatives voted for a massive tax increase causing further harm to our economy. Seems to me, they’ve cleared the bar with plenty of room to spare.
