The Good Stuff

First, Proposal 2. I have been writing letters in support of MCRI for over 2 years. For the past year, I’d estimate that roughly 90% of my letters focused on the issue. I hope that my letters helped inform the public. I hope that readers were able to see my letters and say “Yes, that’s what I think” even if they feared saying it publicly. I’ve met some incredibly interesting people along the way and I am thankful for that. Also, I’ve been exposed to the some of the dirty underside of election politics. Mindboggling. However, the fight against government-sponsored discrimination will continue and more letters will need to be written.

Proposal 4 passed.

Proposal 5 failed.

The Republicans got spanked. Their wasteful and extravagant spending was out of control. Hopefully they’ll learn their lesson and return to practice what they preach when it comes to financial responsibilities.

Gridlock. Democrats control Congress. Republicans control the White House. Hopefully nothing gets done for the next 2 years.

The To-Be-Determined Stuff

Granholm. As I mentioned before, she’s not to blame for the economy but she is too blame for her lack of action and creative proposals. I wasn’t going to be real happy if DeVos won either. FYI – In the end I voted for DeVos. I did it to cancel out a friend’s vote.

The Bad Stuff

Aldo. At least it gives me a topic to write letters on.

The Democrats did the spanking. The Republicans needed to get spanked. Unfortunately, it was the Democrats that did it. I have no confidence that they will propose any legislation that is remotely constitutional or helpful to this country.

Knollenberg, Jacobs, and Stabenow.
