Time for some representation with that taxation

Background: Detroit businessman Dave Bing speaks out about Kwame but falls short of demanding his resignation because Bing is not a Detroit resident. Having paid Detroit city income tax for several years while not being able to vote, I disagree. If you pay taxes in the city, you deserve the right to elect your representation. Lacking that, I encourage Bing to call loudly for Kwame's departure.

Detroit industrialist Dave Bing is right to speak out about Mayor Kilpatrick’s criminal behavior and the detrimental effect that his continued presence brings. However, Bing refuses to call for the mayor’s resignation because he doesn’t live in the city and can’t vote. Wrong. The fact that Bing pays city taxes is enough justification. Money from his pocket has paid for Kilpatrick’s misdeeds. Bing and every other non-resident who pays Detroit taxes have the right to demand the Mayor’s resignation especially since they don’t have the power to vote on their representation.
