Don't rats scurry?

Background: Sent the following letter in response to "Lansing scurries to fix budget" by reporter Mark Hornbeck. The state legislature refuses to make needed reforms and looks to tax increases to bail them out.

Apparently the recent compromise on the state budget will give voters a choice between boosting the income tax and raising the sales tax. That’s kind of like asking a death row inmate, “Do you prefer the firing squad or lethal injection?”
