Try Economics 101

State Representative George Cushingberry seeks to blame President Bush for the condition of this state’s economic crisis. Apparently Cushingberry is unaware that the rest of country is experiencing healthy growth while Michigan is mired in a one-state recession. In addition to his misguided blame, he proposes higher taxes and higher spending as a solution. Apparently he believes the state can be more competitive by raising the cost of doing business. Before Cushingberry pushes our state’s economy further back, I suggest he move himself forward by taking an Economics 101 course.
