Be thankful they let you keep some of it

In order to claim offshore tax loopholes allow the rich to “rob” the U.S. Treasury, you must accept the government owns the fruits of your labor and that only through the benevolence of our great leaders, can we expect to keep what we earn.

Rather than adding to the 17,000 page tax code, Sen. Carl Levin should support comprehensive tax reform that simplifies the rules, reduces compliance costs, and lowers taxes for all Americans. Contrary to the beliefs of class warfare advocates, most Americans (rich included) don’t mind paying their fair share of taxes. However, they do mind when their hard-earned income is confiscated at excessive rates and excessive costs.
