MCRI victimized by lies
The Journal claims voters should know that how the Michigan Civil Rights Initiative got on the ballot is “suspect.” Voters should be aware of a few other things.
They should be aware that groups sworn to use any means necessary have tried to deny the people of this state their right to petition by filing costly and frivolous lawsuits which have failed every step of the way. Thwarted by their failure through legal channels, they have fabricated claims of fraud and promoted lies about the effects of the initiative in California.
The petition was clearly worded. The Michigan Civil Rights Commission has no proof of fraud and held publicity stunts catering to the shrill hysteria of a small group of protestors. Finally, opportunities still abound for minorities and women in California.
The steps some people will take to try and maintain their tenuous grip on relevancy is disgusting.
