The Oakland Press: Local News: County income tax? Brooks says no

According to officials at the Michigan Association of County Administrative Officers, a county income tax “could solve the money problems of cash-strapped cities, townships and counties.” (“County income tax? Brook says no”, 2/25/2005) Yeah, doesn't it always. Our government financing problems always go away when a new tax is imposed. They never come back to the well. Right?
