Don't like the rules? Change them.

Background: In spite being told the presidential delegates would not be counted, Michigan legislators foolishly changed the primary date. Now, some people want the delegates to be counted claiming it's unfair. Was the DNC's refusal to seat Michigan's delegates stupid? Yes. Was it a waste of taxpayer's money to hold a primary? Yes (blame that on our legislators). Should Michigan voters be outraged? Yes. But too bad. The rules were set. Changing the rules now only worsens a bad situation.

During the Democratic presidential primary, all the candidates, state leaders, and voters knew the rules – Michigan’s delegates would not be counted during the national convention. Now some people, including Hillary Clinton, want to change the rules in the middle of the game. Of course when have rules ever mattered to a Clinton.
