Tabloid journalism

Was there some journalistic ethic that prompted the News to re-open the wounds on the murder of Dorothy Tyburski? Certainly your audience wasn’t clamoring to know what happened to her murderer. Perhaps you considered it newsworthy to provide a forum for his self-pity. Or maybe after all the media sensationalism over Tara Grant’s murder and the photos of the Virginia Tech shooter, you don’t know when to call it quits.
