The Jesse and Al Show

The Don Imus kerfuffle has nothing to do with protecting speech. Our right to speech is protected from government interference, not punishment by markets. If you say something offensive, you risk being alienated and shamed. The larger concern involves the orchestration of this controversy by Jesse “Hymietown” Jackson and Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton. These self-anointed “civil” rights activists show more desire to perpetuate their time in the spotlight than to resolve real race issues.
