Democrats hold greedy CEOs accountable
While reading Rep. Dianne Byrum's response to your November 27th editorial ("Michigan doesn't need anti-business message"), I thought I was reading Pravda from its glory days as a mouthpiece for the Communist Party when it ruled the Soviet Union. I can picture House Democrats frothing at the mouth as they attack those vile capitalist pigs that must be punished!
The News correctly points out that executives are accountable to their stockholders and current laws sufficiently punish those who commit fraud. The Democrats' attempt to place further restrictions on corporations in our state is foolish. If Byrum wants to make Michigan "a great place to invest in, work, raise families and build communities", she needs to recognize that the state has hit bottom and she's still digging.
